cerasonar protection unit pro – Advanced Protection for Reference Systems

The cerasonar protection unit pro has been developed to provide advanced loudspeaker protection for the cerasonar reference and reference pro series when operated with conventional amplifiers, streaming amplifiers or AV receivers.

Featuring an extended protection circuit that also responds to fast transient overloads, the protection unit pro helps protect the connected loudspeaker against excessive power peaks while ensuring reliable long-term operation. When installed according to cerasonar recommendations, it also fulfils the requirements for the 5-year cerasonar functional warranty.

The protection unit pro is recommended whenever a cerasonar cs-500dsp4 or cs-2000dsp4 DSP amplifier with the appropriate factory DSP preset is not being used. When a cerasonar DSP amplifier is operated with the correct factory preset, no additional protection unit is required.

Two versions are available to suit different loudspeaker models:

Suitable for the cerasonar 4062 reference and 4062 reference pro

Supplied with a Phoenix adapter, the protection unit pro integrates easily into new and existing installations, providing reliable loudspeaker protection whenever conventional amplification or AV receivers are used.

The cerasonar protection unit pro is suitable for ensuring proper operational safety in conjunction with amplifiers and AV receivers.

The use of the protection units is no longer necessary with the cs-500dsp4 or cs2000dsp4 when the appropriate preset for the respective speaker/sub has been selected.
