Vibration-Controlled Architectural Subwoofer

The cerasonar architect sub has been developed for projects where extended low-frequency performance is required, but conventional invisible subwoofers are not suitable due to vibration-sensitive constructions, limited installation space or demanding architectural requirements.

Unlike traditional architectural subwoofers, the architect sub features a mechanically decoupled design with integrated vibration dampers. This significantly reduces the transmission of structure-borne vibrations into surrounding walls, ceilings and furniture, helping to minimise unwanted rattling and resonance while maintaining precise, controlled bass reproduction.

Its discreet outlet design, connected via a flexible duct system, allows the subwoofer enclosure to be positioned independently from the visible sound outlet. This provides exceptional installation flexibility while preserving clean architectural lines and a completely concealed appearance.

Although specifically developed as the ideal partner for the cerasonar 4062 architect, the architect sub can be combined with the entire cerasonar loudspeaker portfolio. It is the preferred solution whenever structure-borne vibration must be minimised, making it particularly suitable for metal stud constructions, furniture integration, renovation projects, acoustically sensitive environments and installations where a conventional invisible subwoofer cannot be accommodated.

For optimum performance, cerasonar recommends operating the architect sub with the cs-500dsp4 or cs-2000dsp4 DSP amplifier together with the dedicated factory DSP preset. Developed as a complete system, the subwoofer, DSP amplifier and factory DSP preset have been engineered to work hand in hand, ensuring predictable bass performance, seamless system integration and reliable operation.

Alternatively, compatible third-party DSP amplifiers, including LEA Professional and Powersoft, may be used with the appropriate cerasonar factory DSP preset.
