Ultra-Slim Invisible Loudspeaker – 4 Ohm

The cerasonar 4062 architect has been developed for architectural projects where installation depth is extremely limited, yet premium invisible audio performance is still required. With an installation depth of only 30 mm, it enables completely invisible audio integration in situations where conventional invisible loudspeakers simply cannot be installed.

Its innovative design utilises eight ultra-flat exciters to deliver wide sound dispersion, excellent speech intelligibility and remarkably natural music reproduction despite its exceptionally slim construction. The 4062 architect is particularly well suited for renovation projects, shallow wall and ceiling constructions, bespoke furniture and architectural applications where every millimetre of installation depth matters.

Due to its ultra-slim design, the 4062 architect has been engineered as part of a complete loudspeaker system. While it delivers excellent performance for background music on its own, a dedicated invisible subwoofer is recommended for applications where full-range music reproduction, higher playback levels or home cinema performance are required.

For vibration-sensitive installations, the cerasonar architect sub is the ideal system partner. Its vibration-isolated construction significantly reduces structure-borne sound transmission, making it particularly suitable for lightweight walls, suspended ceilings and acoustically demanding projects. Where installation space is available and structural vibrations are not a concern, the cerasonar 4080 sub provides an excellent alternative with greater low-frequency extension and increased overall system performance.

For optimum performance, the cerasonar 4062 architect should be operated with a suitable cerasonar DSP amplifier together with the dedicated cerasonar factory DSP preset. The preset has been specifically developed for the loudspeaker, optimising tonal balance, seamlessly integrating the recommended subwoofer and providing reliable loudspeaker protection without requiring an additional protection unit.

Depending on the project requirements, the loudspeaker can be combined with the cerasonar cs-150smart2 streaming DSP amplifier or the cerasonar cs-500dsp4 DSP amplifier. The cs-150smart2 offers the simplest all-in-one streaming solution for premium stereo and compact multi-room installations, while the cs-500dsp4 provides additional flexibility for larger residential and commercial projects.

Alternatively, compatible third-party DSP amplifiers from LEA Professional and Powersoft may be used.

EIGHT EXCITERS

BROAD COVERAGE FROM AN ULTRA-SLIM FORMAT.

The eight ultra-flat exciters are distributed across the panel to create a homogeneous sound field with excellent speech intelligibility and refined high-frequency detail. The result is wide, even coverage that suits architectural spaces without visible loudspeakers.

CONTROLLED INSTALLATION

THE MATCHING INSTALLATION FRAME (BACKBOX).

This exceptionally shallow installation frame (backbox) is the only available mounting method for the 4062 architect and is designed exclusively for drywall. The loudspeaker is installed centrally; a 50 mm perimeter around it provides the fixing area for the plasterboard.

LOW-FREQUENCY EXTENSION

ARCHITECT SUB. DESIGNED FOR THE SAME CONSTRUCTION.

For full-range music, higher playback levels or home cinema, the 4062 architect must be combined with architect sub. Without a subwoofer, it is intended only for pure background audio.

The preferred partner for vibration-sensitive walls, suspended ceilings and lightweight constructions. Its mechanically decoupled enclosure reduces structure-borne vibration while the flexible duct allows discreet placement of the bass outlet.

The 4062 architect is planned either as pure background audio without a subwoofer or as a full-range system with architect sub. The dedicated cs-500dsp4 presets are integral to both configurations.

BUILD THE SYSTEM AROUND THE ROOM.

The examples below illustrate common cerasonar system configurations. Larger projects can be expanded by adding further loudspeakers, subwoofers and DSP amplifiers.

Hotel corridor audio

20 × 1520 fit – 100V, distributed across two bridged 100V amplifier outputs with 10 loudspeakers per output, all powered by one cs-500dsp4. A cost-efficient solution for hotel corridors, office buildings and other projects requiring many evenly distributed loudspeakers, simple 100V cabling and consistent sound coverage.

Commercial audio system

6 × 2525 fit, with two loudspeakers connected in series per channel across three amplifier channels, plus 1 × 4080 sub on the fourth channel, all powered by one cs-500dsp4. A versatile combination for commercial spaces requiring even sound coverage and additional low-frequency performance.

High-performance stereo

2 × 6280 reference pro together with 2 × 6280 sub, all powered by a single cs-2000dsp4. Each loudspeaker uses one channel; the two 8 Ω voice coils of each subwoofer are connected in parallel as a 4 Ω load on one channel.

Reference home cinema

7 × 6280 reference pro powered by two cs-2000dsp4 amplifiers, plus 1 × 62200 sub powered by one dedicated cs-2000dsp4. Designed for uncompromising home cinema with dedicated amplification for the loudspeaker system and flagship subwoofer.
