cerasonar protection unit – Safe Operation for fit Series Loudspeakers

The cerasonar protection unit 25w / 50w has been developed as a compact loudspeaker protection solution for installations using the cerasonar 1520 fit and cerasonar 2525 fit without a dedicated cerasonar DSP amplifier.

It provides an additional safety layer for conventional amplifier installations and helps ensure safe, reliable operation of the connected loudspeakers. This makes it a practical fallback solution when a cerasonar DSP amplifier with the appropriate factory DSP preset is not available.

For the best sound quality and the highest system performance, cerasonar recommends using a dedicated DSP amplifier such as the cs-500dsp4 together with the appropriate factory DSP preset. In that configuration, no additional protection unit is required.

The protection unit 25w is suitable for the cerasonar 1520 fit and for cerasonar 2525 fit single stereo applications. In single stereo mode, two protection units are required per loudspeaker.

The protection unit 50w is suitable for the cerasonar 2525 fit in standard operation.

Please note: the cerasonar protection unit is not recommended for use with AV receivers. For AV receiver applications, cerasonar recommends the cerasonar protection unit pro or a suitable cerasonar amplifier solution.
