Masonry Installation Kit – Secure Installation in Solid Walls

The cerasonar masonry installation kit has been developed for the secure and precise installation of the matching cerasonar installation frame (backbox) in masonry and other solid wall constructions.

The kit combines heavy-duty frame anchors with 8 × 100 mm countersunk Torx screws and a fast-curing two-component construction foam. Together with the factory-prepared fixing points of the installation frame (backbox), these components support a stable, accurately aligned and reliable installation.

The wall recess must provide sufficient clearance around the installation frame (backbox) for accurate positioning and application of the construction foam. The supplied alignment battens are used to centre the installation frame (backbox) and hold it flush with the surrounding wall surface during installation.

Once the installation frame (backbox) has been correctly positioned, the surrounding gap is filled with sufficient construction foam. After curing, the alignment battens and OSB protection panel can be removed. The frame anchors can be added where additional mechanical reinforcement is required.

The masonry installation kit helps create clearly defined installation conditions while reducing on-site measuring and simplifying coordination between the installation and finishing trades.

Important installation note: The suitability and load-bearing capacity of the masonry must be professionally assessed before installation. The installation frame (backbox) must be securely fixed and fully supported before the loudspeaker or subwoofer is installed.
