Drywall Ceiling Kit – Precise Installation in Plasterboard Ceilings
The cerasonar drywall ceiling kit has been developed for the fast, precise and flush installation of the matching cerasonar installation frame (backbox) in plasterboard ceilings. It provides a stable mounting interface and supports accurate alignment with the finished ceiling surface.
The kit consists of model-specific installation battens made from 21 mm waterproof plywood screen-print board, integrated drive-in nuts and matching fixing screws. Its pre-drilled construction reduces on-site measuring and helps create a reliable and repeatable installation process.
During installation, the two long battens are first attached to the installation frame (backbox). The assembly is then introduced through the prepared ceiling opening before the two shorter battens are fitted. The complete unit can then be centred and securely fixed through the plasterboard.
The model-specific CAD drawing must be used to determine the correct ceiling opening and installation dimensions.
The drywall ceiling kit also provides the mounting basis for the optional cerasonar drywall ceiling anti-vibration kit. This adds mechanical decoupling where reduced structure-borne sound transmission is required, particularly in suspended or vibration-sensitive ceiling constructions.
Important installation note: The load-bearing capacity of the plasterboard ceiling and supporting substructure must be professionally assessed before installation. Additional reinforcing battens must be connected to the substructure and installation frame (backbox) where required. Screws entering the plywood must not penetrate by more than 14 mm.
