Panel Pocket Mount Kit – Secure Integration in Wood and Veneer Panels

The cerasonar panel pocket mount kit has been developed for the precise and secure integration of invisible loudspeakers into wood-based panels and decorative surfaces.

It is suitable for wood veneer, laminate, melamine, HPL, veneered MDF, plywood and furniture panels. A model-specific pocket is CNC-machined into the rear of the panel, allowing the compatible cerasonar reference pro loudspeaker to be positioned accurately behind the finished surface.

The loudspeaker is initially fixed inside the CNC-machined pocket using the separately available cerasonar pocket mount double-sided tape. This provides fast and precise positioning before the rear retaining bracket is installed.

For additional mechanical retention and long-term installation security, the kit includes a precision CNC-machined rear retaining bracket. The bracket is bonded to the rear of the panel using Würth Bond + Seal or a comparable elastic polyurethane or MS polymer construction adhesive suitable for the materials being joined.

The rear retaining bracket also provides the mounting interface for the optional cerasonar installation frame (backbox). This creates a coordinated rear enclosure and helps protect the loudspeaker from mechanical contact behind the finished panel.

The standard panel pocket mount kit is designed for a panel thickness of 19 mm. Customised retaining brackets for other panel thicknesses can be manufactured on request. The CNC-machined pocket must leave a remaining material thickness of 2.0–3.5 mm maximum in front of the loudspeaker to support optimum acoustic performance.

Pocket installation is intended exclusively for compatible cerasonar reference pro loudspeakers. Other cerasonar loudspeaker series and third-party products are not suitable for this installation method. A cerasonar cs-500dsp4 or cs-2000dsp4 amplifier with the dedicated wood preset is required.

Important installation note: The pocket mount double-sided tape and construction adhesive are not included and must be ordered or sourced separately. If Würth Bond + Seal is unavailable, a comparable elastic polyurethane or MS polymer construction adhesive may be used, provided that it is approved by the adhesive manufacturer for the panel and bracket materials. Follow the product-specific instructions for surface preparation, application thickness, fixing and curing. The CNC pocket, remaining surface thickness and rear retaining construction must be produced according to the model-specific installation drawing.
